Rebuild Kent Farm™ Roasted Corn at Six Flags Magic Mountain

The Issue

Roasted corn is a blessing on earth. Kent Farm™ Roasted Corn has provided Six Flags Magic Mountain with the delicious, sweet and buttery snack that can’t be found at any other location in the park. However, in order to make room for what is rumored to be a brand new attraction, the snack shack, along with roller coaster Green Lantern: First Flight, and water ride Tidal Wave have all been demolished. Despite its variety of cuisines, Six Flags Magic Mountain feels a little more empty without the roasted corn shack, even if a brand new record-breaking roller coaster is going to take its place. In order to keep the corn on the menu, I am proposing that Magic Mountain will find a new location within the park for Kent Farm™ Roasted Corn to stand— whether it is a small, makeshift food cart, or a sturdy shack, like it always had been. Roasted corn is one of my favorite foods, and especially one of my favorite foods to eat while at a theme park. Knotts Berry Farm, another local theme park in the SoCal area, for example, serves roasted corn regularly at Fireman's BBQ, and throughout their tasting events during the Coronavirus Pandemic served elote, which quickly became a fan-favorite, and certainly a must-have every time I attended. Elote, also referred to as Mexican Street Corn, is an extremely popular antojito, or “little craving” all over Mexico as well as the United States, and is a great addition to SFMM’s menu. Continuing to provide this snack at Six Flags would be immensely appreciated by corn lovers like myself, and it would be incredible if Magic Mountain could find a way to keep Kent Farm™ Roasted Corn alive.
