The Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group requested Minister of Environment and Forestry and the management of a mini zoo in Punti Kayu Nature Recreation Park in Palembang, South Sumatra, to stop cruelty to animals in this recreation park. 

Scorpion investigator visited the mini zoo on Sunday (11/12/2016) and found some apes placed in dirty enclosures without access to drinking water. These animals looked thirsty and hungry. Some other animals were placed in small and unsuitable cages.

We hope minister and the zoo management immediately stop all cruelties to animals in this Park.
