Updates about the petition
Dear All,
First of all, thank you very much for your support by signing on this petition. I've started the petition after much frustration with using the current systems in the universities where there isn't captions for most recorded lectures, and frankly did not expect that big of a response from everyone here.
Tomorrow, it would have been a week since I've started the petition and is also the day where I will email the relevant schools with regards to this petition in order to let them know that we want a better and more accessible education in the form of the implementation of captioning for all recorded lectures.
Since I've started the petition, there are many who thanked/encouraged me for starting and there are also people who has told me that it will be hard for this to be a reality due to various difficulties such as lack of manpower to caption, lack of funds, etc. However, I believe that it is important as a first step to let the schools that this is an important need in making higher education better and more accessible for all.
Thank you all again for joining me on this journey and I would like to encourage all of you to share this to make this happen.
