What is our next step?

Our support is not confined to this petition. We knew the chances of overturning the rules were slim so we have also been coming up with other ways to support these small home-based business owners.

We also noticed that more people are voicing up about this and creating their own ways of helping the affected sellers, and we are very happy about this. We hope more avenues like financial schemes and grants will also be made available specifically to them. 

Alternative channels of support

We are working in collaboration with Ray of Hope - if you have seen the petition description, we have linked you to their fundraising campaign aimed at helping home bakers.

(The campaign will shortly be altered to include all home-based F&B businesses, not only home bakers - we will update more on this soon.)

Food blogging team, @halalfoodhunt, has also started a campaign called Sponsor-A-Family for families who are facing difficulty after having lost or partially lost their source of income during this period.
