Since Disney said it made the Sequels for the fans let the fans decide how the series end
The Issue
On October 30, 2012, George Lucas sold Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise to The Walt Disney Company. Before the talks, Lucas had quietly started writing treatments for a new sequel trilogy (Episodes VII–IX). He realized that making the films himself would take another decade of his life. At 68 years old, Lucas wanted to step away from the stress of running his massive company and spend time with his young daughter and family as well as to focus on personal projects, such as building the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. He wanted to pass the franchise to a trusted, stable home with the corporate infrastructure to keep Star Wars alive for generations. However, Lucas stepped back from interfering with the whole project as Disney chose not to use the story treatments and outlines he had provided for the continuation of the saga. As he states in his own interview "They said they wanted to make a movie for the fans". However, the fans reaction to the result was completely different. They were not divided into those who loved and to those who hated the films as happened to the Prequel Trilogy but rather almost everybody accepts that Disney somehow managed to destroy the saga. As comments by fans put it: "There is no franchise that deserves more of a "delete the sequels" button than Star Wars". Fans in all social platforms highly criticize the movies many going as far saying they never happened. Fans disliked Disney's sequel trilogy mainly because it lacked a cohesive master plan and undermined the original character arcs. The back-and-forth creative direction made the three films feel like a contradictory ping-pong match rather than a single unified story. They also undermined the original trilogy by introducing the First Order and resetting the galactic conflict, thus making the sacrifices of Luke, Han, and Leia feel pointless, leaving the galaxy in roughly the same state of ruin as before. Also, bringing Emperor Palpatine back in Episode IX led many to feel the prophecy of Anakin Skywalker as the chosen one, his redemption and destruction of the Sith in Return of the Jedi was negated. Shortly after the release of Episode VII, Lucas famously and controversially compared selling the franchise to Disney as selling his kids to "white slavers"—a comment for which he later apologized. Mark Hamill, the actor who portrayed Luke Skywalker, has openly expressed mixed feelings and regrets about the Star Wars sequel trilogy, noting that he initially felt returning to the franchise was a mistake and that the sequels shouldn't have happened. He only agreed to return as Luke Skywalker because Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher signed on, feeling that if he said no, he would become "the most hated man in nerddom". Since Disney originally said that they wanted to make the Sequels for the fans, since the fans hated the films and pretend that they never happened and that they pretty much felt like a different story that doesn't blend with the original, since there is a desire in the social media that the story that inspired so many generations of people would have ended up better (especially the last film of the saga: The Rise of Skywalker).... We demand that the Star Wars franchise is restored by Disney changing the last movie (The Rise of Skywalker) so that it really is in the end a movie made to please the fans as their original plan was. May the fans choose how the movie ends at a global poll about a Star Wars finale. A proposed alternative ending is the fan made video (linked attached) where Hayden Christensen as the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker returns to face Palpatine and restore the balance to the Force as the prophecy said he would.
