I am a parent of five beautiful children. My experience with them has awoken my concern on this important matter as their lives are getting unnecessarily complicated. This petition seeks to change the current education system in our country related to gender identification. Today, children are confronted with a variety of gender identifications at a very young age. While inclusivity and diversity are paramount in our society, it is equally important to consider the potential confusion and emotional toll this could create on young minds.

The American Psychological Association cites that children typically understand their gender identity at an approximate age of three, but complexities beyond the binary genders could potentially confuse them. America practices a simplified version with two genders in their standard curriculum, a model we propose for adoption in our nation as well. 

This petition does not aim to counteract any movements, it instead advocates a gradual approach to gender education that will facilitate comprehension and acceptance without overwhelming our children at a young age. By doing this, we believe that we can give our children a balanced, unbiased education and a smoother learning curve to understanding the complex nature of gender identities as they grow older.
