Dear Minister Coveney , Mr. Blake
We as a concerned group of individuals have been trying for many years now to highlight the plight of the animals at ahar and the misappropriation of funds donated towards their care and towards the development of the facility based in Castleisland. As you can see from these recent photos the conditions there are totally unacceptable, we're not seeking to close ahar down but asking that a moratorium is imposed on them from taking in any more animals until the welfare of those in their care is brought to a reasonable standard and the numbers are reduced to manageable levels. The alternative is that this situation continues until it's inevitable self destruction and the tragic fallout and public outrage that would surround such an event. Please act now in the animals interests, as is the remit of your office, to prevent this.
