Hi Neighbours,

In these difficult times I hope you and your friends and family are well and keeping safe.

Thank you again to everyone who responded to the Headstone South survey.  As you'll see below I think this may now be helpful in potentially convincing Harrow to spend some money on temporary measures to prevent rat running in our neighbourhood.

Harrow has been awarded £495,000 to introduce new measures to enable safe walking and cycling in Harrow, in response to the need for social distancing and to prevent a boom in car driving, congestion and pollution.  The top of the list of preferred interventions is low traffic neighbourhoods, which is potentially great news for us!

Harrow council have launched a webpage (link below) where you can post a comment highlighting where they could make temporary interventions to make walking and cycling while social distancing easier.  You can also read the comments made by others and agree with them if you want.  You can also say whether or not you want these interventions to become permanent.

Please comment as soon as you can, as time is of the essence.  I have already put a comment on Pinner View highlighting rat running in the area and proposing modal filters as a solution which you can agree with.  I believe that if you add an additional comment on your own road as well it will really highlight this as a key issue with a lot of support that Harrow should tackle as a priority.

As usual please spread the word by sharing with friends, family and neighbours - the webpage is for the whole of Harrow so please do provide comments about other areas that you think could also be improved for walking and cycling.

Thank you once again for your invaluable help and support!
