Can you support the Creative Green Tools?
A few years ago your support was instrumental in pushing the Canada Council for the Arts to include sustainability in their strategic planning. While we've come a long way, we're still looking to establish ongoing support for the tools that enable Canadian artists to measure, consider, and take action on their environmental impacts, in part through the free Creative Green Tools Canada program.
We've been working with arts councils across the country to find a way to provide comprehensive access and hands-on support in using the tools and supporting the arts sector to lead the nation in addressing emissions and other impacts without sacrificing all that makes their work great.
We are meeting with a consortium of councils in two weeks to present a comprehensive plan for the national deployment and support of the Creative Green Tools so we get their support to continue to make these free to artists and arts organizations, and allow us to assist everyone on greening their practices.
If you have a moment, we'd love for you to add your support by signing a new letter to the councils indicating how important it is for artists to have free and accessible tools with dedicated support and assistance.
