Vinesh Phogat, a national icon and an incredibly accomplished wrestler, was disqualified in the final round of the 2024 Olympics due to a minor weight discrepancy. Yet, despite her remarkable prowess, her journey was abruptly halted and her achievements ignored. This was due to a minimal overweight issue, a matter which should not overshadow her extraordinary performance. We believe that her silver win, if not gold, should be rightfully acknowledged. By signing this petition, we can collectively voice our support for Vinesh Phogat, asking the Olympic Committee to reconsider her disqualification and award her the silver medal she truly deserves.
