Survivors all over the U.S have horror stories of being stuck and stranded in desolate parts of their state, stripped of any dignity, respect, and compassion. There are children being tortured in these "programs" as I type this. Being humiliated, starved, beaten, punished for speaking, for crying, and worse. 

Parents send these children to this "therapy" to hopefully cure their bad behaviors. It's used as a way to "treat" things such as Kleptomania, Depression, Outbursts, and other minor infractions that can otherwise be dealt with with actual therapy such as CBT and DBT. Many of the children sent here are also LGBTQ+ or Neurodivergent. Parents often times have no idea that these places are actually bad. However if they do know, then they are knowingly sending their own children away to get tortured. 

Most Survivors recount stories of being kidnapped from their own bed, or from school, and being driven to an area. Not allowed to know where, or have any sense of time or how long they've been there. These places are endless miles away from any civilization, DESIGNED to be impossible to escape from. Survivors are not only mentally scarred, but also physically. Many siffer chronic back pain, UTIs, And further emotional dysregulation and CPTSD.

The "treatment" is advertised in a way that seems harmless. Innocent and fun even. You go out in the woods, recconect with nature, in a controlled environment. Which sounds okay. What they don't tell you, is that they will be denying these adolescentes food, clean water, saftey, privacy, and basic human Decency. Parents get photos of these children smiling, of these children "playing". All of which is orchestrated by these terribly places. 

Not only do these places harm children, they also KILL THEM. Many kids do not make it out of these places alive, and no charges from their murderers (the staff and the parents) ever occur. Any pain that they may be feeling is dismissed, and they are blamed for it. 

You are made to feel as if this is all your fault. Made to hike until they can't stand. Made to carry bags full of rocks. Some go days or weeks without getting treatment for these injuries if at all. Watched at all times, with no method of communication to the outside world. Brainwashed into "behaving" in a way that the staff feel they should be. Aka, being tortured until your mind is blank. 

AND THIS IS ENTIRELY LEGAL.

If these programs are to continue, they need to ABIDE BY CHILD ABUSE LAWS. 

Children need ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER, FOOD, BREAKS, RESPECT AND PRIVACY.

CHILDREN NEED ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE AND TOILETRIES.

CHILDREN DESERVE TO FEEL CLEAN AND SAFE EVEN OUT IN THE WOODS.

TEENAGERS AND BELOW DESERVE ACTUAL HELP AND THERAPY, THIS IS NOT THERAPY, THIS IS CHILD ENDANGERMENT, NEGLECT AND TORMENT.

THIS IS MEDICAL MALPRACTICE.

THIS IS PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE.

It cannot wait. This needs to happen as soon as possible. No more children should be traumatized or die in the name of "treatment"
