Hello Family, 

We're sending you this update after receiving Mr. Williams' most current letter to us. As always, he wants you to know that he is still so grateful for all of your prayers, and appreciative for staying with him on this journey. 

At Mr. William's last court date, the Judge did the right thing by striking enhancements from his record, which, in turn, is SUPPOSED to take time from the original sentence, allowing Mr. Williams to be released and reunite with his family.

Unfortunately, the District Attorney is now appealing the Judge's ruling, for reasons unbeknownst to him. There is NO logical reason why Mr. Williams should continue to be held. 

In addition, CDCR is NOT allowing Mr. Williams to receive his good time credit, and they are NOT giving him his educational credits from the High School Diploma and GED he already earned while incarcerated. These items would directly knock off even more time from the original sentence, if allowed. It is clear that CDCR and the District Attorney are working hand-in-hand to deprive Mr. Williams of his freedom.

The programs that are listed on the CDCR website, as inmate rehabilitative programs, are NOT made readily available to inmates. Mr. Williams has been on different waiting lists for years now. 

The above-mentioned items are DIRECTLY hindering the REHABILITATION AND FREEDOM of Mr. Williams. There are laws that have been enacted that Mr. Williams falls under, in which they find him ineligible for different reasons that are NOT legit. The 14th Amendment states "EQUAL PROTECTION FOR ALL" but it's clear this is not the case for Mr. Williams. The Due Process Clause states the government CANNOT deprive one's life, liberty, or property, before any FAIR legal proceedings.

You have been here during this journey, you have remained a supporter thus far.  So let me ask YOU this... 

**Do YOU think Mr. Williams should be allowed his freedom, after ALREADY paying his debt to society?  **Do YOU think CDCR should take the judge's lead, or follow behind the DA's lead?

As you're reading, there are still barriers that are still being allowed. Mr. Williams remains grateful and humble but is deprived of his liberties. He appreciates your continued prayers.
