Dear Friends,

 Hundreds of signatures in less than a day to Shut Heysham’s Dodgy Old Reactors is astounding.   There is an article in the local paper, The Mail saying that Cumbria has the second strongest county identity in England.  This was my reply on The Mail’s facebook page:

"Borders are pretty meaningless in this age of nuclear - much of Cumbria is within Heysham’s Outline Planning Zone - and many like me live within both Heysham’s and Sellafield’s Outline Planning Zone - the zones themselves are lines on the map which radioactive fallout would not adhere to. If you love Cumbria and Lancashire like I do please sign this petition calling for the shut down of Heysham’s dodgy old nuclear reactors https://www.change.org/p/shut-down-the-radiation-damaged-heysham-nuclear-reactors-now"

Please keep on sharing and talking about the Petition in as many ways as you can to send a message to our MPs and the Authorities along with the CEO of EDF that we are not willing to continue to play Nuclear Roulette with the safety of Cumbria, Lancashire and our neighbours.
