As an animal lover and supporter of reputable rescues, I am deeply disturbed by the conditions at a local animal rescue facility in Airdrie, AB. This facility has repeatedly shown disregard for the well-being of its animals. The environment is filthy, dogs are not properly fed or vetted and are left confined in crates for extended periods.
This rescue has been featured negatively in news reports several times due to its poor treatment of animals. Dogs under their care have been reported sick and some have tragically died as a result of neglectful conditions. Past volunteers and fosters have bravely come forward to expose these atrocities but no substantial action has been taken so far.
It's crucial to note that according to the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS), all animal shelters should provide sanitary living conditions, adequate nutrition, necessary medical care and sufficient space for animals - standards this facility clearly violates.
We must act now to protect these innocent lives from further suffering. We call upon local authorities in Airdrie, AB to investigate this matter thoroughly and take immediate action towards shutting down this facility if it continues failing at providing basic humane care for its animals.
