I recently came across a comment posted under this petition that expresses disagreement with the campaign. The comment argues that the responsibility to not expose children to pornography should lie solely with parents rather than society. They argue that parenting is the solution, rather than a complete ban on Pornhub.

I understand that many others would agree with this statement. However, the truth is that not every child has a guardian who can or is willing to intervene, which is why systemic action is so important.

I also believe this comment overlooks a key issue: Pornhub has repeatedly been found to host illegal and non-consensual content. While ease of access for children is one concern, the fundamental issue is the presence of exploitative material itself.

Our goal is to take a stand against sexual violence, seek justice for victims, and hold the executives of Pornhub accountable. Shutting down the platform would remove thousands of videos depicting CSA and r*pe, which is an incredible step for protecting survivors.

Additionally, it would stop the company from profiting from these abusive videos. Considering the scale of harm, this action is an important way to support victims and prevent further abuse. 

We cannot allow this content to remain online. Even if good parenting can prevent children from inadvertently stumbling across non-consensual content, it fails to protect the victims in those videos.
