Petition update

Half a million signed and government leaders call for investigations!

Mar 21, 2020 —

In just five weeks we have passed half a million signatures on the petition to shut down Pornhub! If everyone who has signed could get just ONE MORE person to sign we'd be at ONE MILLION signatures. Please ask a friend to sign today.

As we have sailed past 500,000 signatures, the petition continues to gain momentum and is having huge impact even in the midst of this global pandemic. The Traffickinghub campaign has now been covered in over 125 news articles in 25 countries. It also inspired a successful protest in front of the Mindgeek/Pornhub headquarters in Montreal, on International Women’s Day, which garnered national media coverage throughout Canada.

Shortly after the protest, a cross-party letter from members of the Canadian parliament was issued to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, calling for the opening of an investigation into the company.

A few days later, U.S. Senator Ben Sasse issued a letter to U.S. Attorney General William Barr, demanding that the Department of Justice open an investigation into Pornhub and its mother company, MindGeek. Senator Sasse said, "This is pretty obvious. Any company that profits from rape, trafficking, and exploitation must be held accountable. The reporting on Pornhub has been gut-wrenching. Pornhub and its parent company MindGeek must not escape scrutiny.”

Pornhub has sought to take advantage of and monetize this moment of global vulnerability, during the COVID-19 pandemic, with PR stunts offering “free” premium access to their site, while they harvest the personal information of every user for their own gain and profit. We are more committed than ever to exposing this dark mega-company that is exploiting the world’s most vulnerable women and children.

We have knowledge now of 121 cases of children being raped and sex trafficked on Pornhub, and dozens of women who were coerced and trafficked on the site. These cases are just the tip of the iceberg. As the campaign is gaining more visibility, additional victims are coming forward to seek justice. (If you, or anyone you know, is a victim of Pornhub you can submit your information at the very bottom of our site, traffickinghub.com)

Please continue to stand with survivors and raise your voice against the sex trafficking and rape of women and children on the world’s largest porn website. Together we will SHUT IT DOWN.

Please share and get at least ONE MORE person to sign so we can hit the goal of one million!
