Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the petition to shut down Pornhub and hold its executives accountable for aiding the trafficking of both women and children. As of this writing, we have reached over 125,000 signatures in under one week, and the numbers are still growing by the minute. Let’s aim to reach 150,000 in the next 24 hours!

My Washington Examiner op ed, exposing the ways in which Pornhub is enabling and profiting from sex trafficking and rape, has been called “explosive.” That is because Pornhub has been caught red-handed profiting from videos of rape and sex trafficking, and also allowing unlimited anonymous uploads of pornographic content to the site - no age or consent verification required.

One journalist said, “to claim that an online giant in the porn industry realm like Pornhub is actually using criminal content that depicts real-world criminal abuse of children or rape is about as serious an accusation as they can face.”

Yes, that is exactly what we are doing because it is true, and the evidence is mounting.

The day after my piece was released exposing that Pornhub admitted to  “verifying" the 15 yr old girl from Florida who was missing for a year and then found in 58 videos on the site, the BBC released the harrowing story of 14yr old Rose Kalemba.

Rose, who was a child at the time, was taken at knifepoint and raped for 12 hours, and the video footage of her rape was subsequently uploaded to Pornhub. She discovered the horrific videos documenting her traumatic assault when her peers began to recognize her while masturbating to videos on the porn site.  "The titles of the videos were 'teen crying and getting slapped around', 'teen getting destroyed', 'passed out teen.' One had over 400,000 views," Rose recounted. 

Rose emailed Pornhub multiple times over a period of six months asking for the videos to be removed but with no success. She recalls, “I sent Pornhub begging emails. I pleaded with them. I wrote, 'Please, I'm a minor, this was assault, please take it down'.” 

Pornhub profited from the videos of Rose’s rape for months, and she received no reply until she pretended to be an attorney and threatened legal action. Clearly that is the language this company understands. 

Rose has courageously used her voice to speak up against this injustice, and we have the opportunity to follow her brave example and do the same. It is time to hold Pornhub and its executives accountable.

To be sure, taking on Pornhub is taking on a giant, but as someone recently told me, “when the giant you are taking aim at is so big, it is hard for the arrow to miss.” I believe that to be true.
