I have been refused appointments, hung up on, told I can’t be helped, palmed off, and downright disrespected by both the reception staff and doctors at the Caledonia Medical Practice here in Cumbernauld, Glasgow. This personal experience has been a constant battle, and I'm not alone. I am but one voice among many who have faced similar frustrations and challenges with this medical practice.

Caledonia Medical Practice has been a cornerstone for our community, tasked with the health and well-being of many families in Cumbernauld. Yet, it has become a place where blatant disregard and lack of compassion seem to prevail over patient care. Many patients have reported experiencing dismissive behavior, unprofessional conduct, and a general lack of empathy from staff that one would expect as standard.

Healthcare should be a refuge of support and healing, but for many here, it has become a daunting task to navigate without anxiety and distress. Our community deserves a medical practice that sees us as individuals, listens to our concerns with empathy, and treats us with the respect we deserve.

We are calling for substantial changes. The Caledonia Medical Practice should be entirely restructured to restore and prioritize patient care over convenience. If not, its shutdown should be considered to pave the way for a more competent and compassionate healthcare service provider. Every individual's health is paramount, and the practice owes it to each patient to deliver quality healthcare without bias or prejudice.
