Our precious elderly parrot was killed at Noah's Sanctuary in Boerne, Texas, forever altering our lives. They took our beloved companion under false pretenses, with fake promises of updates we never received. I was trying to help our pet, a double yellow headed amazon parrot of 65 years old. I was worried about her health and happiness. After taking her, the owners Vicky & Mickey stated that the vet cleared her with a simple gastrointestonal upset. They failed to have us properly relinquish our rights so with my grandmothers declining health, she wanted her long-time companion home. When messaged about the issue, they claimed she had died. After almost 3 weeks of regularly requesting photo proof, vet documentation on the so called contagious disease that had killed her, and veterinary references, still I have not received any such documentation aside from 2 photos that clearly show an unnatural cause of death judging by the angle of her neck. They killed poor buttons out of spite. This loss was heart-wrenching, especially for my grandma, who relied on the parrot for companionship. The sanctuary claims to provide a safe haven, yet it is a place that thrives on lies and manipulation.

Noah's Sanctuary charges visitors to interact with the animals, essentially commercializing what should be a safe sanctuary for creatures in need. They've even gone so far as to run a hotel on the sanctuary grounds, mudding the line between a peaceful shelter and a profit-making enterprise by offering a petting zoo, walk throughs with engagement with the animals, horseback riding lesso s,even offering therapy with animals without having a mental health specialist on staff.  The facilities lack the necessary licenses and permits required by law, which raises grave concerns about the welfare of the animals and the ethical practices of those running the sanctuary. You can find negative reveiws online for their home away from home hotel, in which previous guests tell how the animals are mistreated. 

This sanctuary is not what it claims to be. It is operated by individuals who are not just dismissive, but also rude and hostile when approached about these very serious issues. Such behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated any longer.

It's crucial that we act to demand accountability and ensure the safety and well-being of all animals placed in the supposed care of Noah's Sanctuary. We must urge local authorities to investigate and take immediate action against this establishment.
