Over the past 75 years, our nation has lived through the most peaceful and economically prosperous time in world history. A large part of this has come from the fact that the United States has actively built and supported institutions that guard against tyranny, help promote American values and prosperity, and actively try to support its people. But this time is quickly coming to an end due to the disastrous domestic and foreign policies brought on by the current administration and the unelected DOGE regime. 

While the government is an imperfect institution, a human institution, we should not completely destroy it and expect our lives to improve. No one denies that there is fat to be trimmed from our budget or processes that could be made more efficient. But going at the government with a chainsaw approach will only hurt everyday Americans, and it already has.
