I grew up watching Nickelodeon and Disney channels from the USA, and unfortunately, Canadian kids' channels just don't compare. In particular, my experience with Corus Media Canada has been quite very disappointing. They seem to offer the same repetitive content, and even worse, I've noticed they're taking advantage of the pricing difference for Nickelodeon shows on the iTunes Store Canada compared to the USA. It's frustrating to see these higher prices for the same content, and to add insult to injury, new TV episodes take much longer to air here in Canada than they do in the US.

Corus Media Canada has already shut down channels that were appreciated, like Nick Canada, Disney XP, and Disney Jr. Canada. I truly believe Canadian kids deserved better content and access to the same high-quality programming that is available south of the border. Why can't we watch the same Nickelodeon channels, Nicktoons, TeenNick, Disney Channel, Disney XP, and other kids' channels in Canada? It's disheartening to feel left out just because we live north of the border.

My frustration grows when popular TV shows and episodes become available, but I find myself waiting far longer than any viewer in the USA would have to wait. And when I turn to iTunes, I'm disappointed once again by unaffordable prices.

Shutting down Corus Media Canada could pave the way for more competitive network options that can bring authentic and timely Nickelodeon and Disney programming to Canadian audiences. This is not just about cartoons; this is about fair access, pricing parity, and content quality for children who deserve better viewing experiences and options.

It's time for a change. Please sign this petition to close Corus Media Canada and make way for the introduction of US-based channels in Canada, giving Canadian kids a world-class television experience.
