Right to Education is powering on forward - that's the good news!
The bad news is - the latest gdp calculations show that India's gdp spending on health by Central and State governments around India has decreased - 1 of the main reasons being that increased funding is not matching the increase in gdp! Even with Ayushman Bharat flagship healthcare schewme, and the new AIIMS's all over the country, India's govt spending is JUST NOT ENOUGH. Please push your State govt and the Central govt to allocate more funding for health!
Jai Hind!
Demand increased funding for healthcare from Central and State govts now!! Right to Healthcare is not an option - it is a basic necessity!!
Improve India's 186th rank in government healthcare spending
Good news for education for our citizens!
Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Sunday that the government expenditure on education has gone up from 3.8 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2014 to 4.6 per cent during the NDA rule. ......."It is our priority that 6 per cent of GDP should be allotted to education...While total expenditure by central and state governments on education was 3.8 per cent of GDP in 2014, it has increased to 4.6 per cent now. This indicates that we are progressing towards 6 per cent," he said.
"We are making continuous efforts to improve educational facilities....Seven new IITs, seven new IIMs, two new NITs (National Institutes of Technology), three central universities and around 125 Kendriya Vidyalayas have been started," he said.......
