M&G QLDAustralia
Jun 20, 2024

Over 3,000 people have now signed M&G QLD's petition and contributed comments to express their deep concerns over The University of Queensland's proposal to phase out the Master of Museum Studies and Graduate Certificate in Museums Studies programs from 2025.

Our Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAM) are responsible for the custodianship and care of Queensland’s distributed collections and much of our cultural memory and heritage. To carry out this important work, our GLAM sector needs a pipeline for skilled professionals into the future.

We encourage you to show your support for the continuation of GLAM sector tertiary qualifications delivered in Queensland by sharing this petition, or writing directly to The University of Queensland's Vice Chancellor, Professor Deborah Terry AO, at vc@uq.edu.au ahead of the The University of Queensland Senate meeting on 25 June 2024, to convey your concerns.

We thank you for your continued support.
