We did it! I have been working with the County of San Diego since I was a freshman in high school to develop an accessible public outdoor archery range for the community.

What started as a simple conversation on the ride home from practice has become a place where archers of all ages and skill levels can come together to learn, practice and grow. We wanted to make sure this range reflected the adaptability of archery by adding compressed pathways to each distance to support those who may have mobility issues along with access to an ADA accessible parking lot. Bonus, it is completely free for the public to use!

This range is a dream turned into reality, a community coming together and a new chapter for archery in East County.

A huge thank you to Supervisor Anderson for not only the support of the project but also for the generous grant that made this all possible! I would also like to thank Mariko, Josh and all of the Parks Department, along with local businesses, and every single person who believed in this vision and helped make it happen. Your support means the world!
