The Shorewood School District uses tracking software called "GoGuardian" on all school devices and student google accounts. GoGuardian has the ability to read and change all your data on the websites you visit, detect your physical location, and read and change your browsing history. Unfortunately, this is not the only surveillance tool that the Shorewood School District uses. They also have access to your camera and microphone, meaning they are able to view students and hear students when students are using a Shorewood account or Shorewood device. This surveillance is unacceptable and many students do not know about this. Tracking students infringes upon basic human rights and should not be practiced in our district.
