I'm a fan but eighteen seasons is enough of anything.

I'm only a few seasons in and they have already started doing crazy things. It seems like they're more trying to keep the audience captivated than have a cohesive plot. If I can tell that in season five then thirteen seasons later will not be any different

It seems like nearly all of the original characters have left the show at this point except Richard. At that point is there anything there to salvage, clean up, package, and slap on a bow to call it entertainment?
