The Democratic Women’s Club (DWC) of Flagler County would like to create a permanent tribute to Shirley Chisholm—educator, author, and trail-blazing politician—in Palm Coast, Flagler County, FL. Chisholm retired to Palm Coast in 1991, and lived in Flagler County until her death in 2005. She was a trail blazer in life and we would like to honor that legacy by naming one of our beautiful trails after her and place a plaque for people to read about her many contributions.  But WE NEED YOUR HELP! This will have to go through the city council or possibly the county commissioners. We consider this a non partisan community project, so please everyone consider signing, thank you!
