Hello Free Fire Cider Supporters!! In this newsletter: *NOTE FROM ROSEMARY *LEGAL UPDATE *FUNDRAISING/SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN *COMMUNITY SUPPORT *FIRE CIDER SONG *FREE FIRE CIDER AT YOUR EVENT From Rosemary Gladstar: Our fight for Fire Cider and our traditional herbal products is still going strong. Summer are busy months for herbalists, especially those of us who are herbal farmers, so we've not been as active on the media as we are in other seasons. But, we're still standing strong, gaining momentum, and speaking out for our traditional herbal products in spite of nasty law suits and allegations fired against us. Your support throughout has been hugely appreciated. The greatest way you can continue to support the case for Free Fire Cider is to continue to educate your communities about pirated herbal products, supporting those 'vinegar tonics' that are ethically made, and by making your own Fire Cider and teaching others to make it as well. LEGAL UPDATE Recently Shire City Herbals (SCH) applied for two new Fire Cider trademarks. The trademark office allows a trademark to exist in different categories.. eg: herbal supplements, beverages, foods, etc. SCH applied to trademark the term "Fire Cider" in the non-alcoholic beverage category and in the food category as a sauerkraut. GOOD NEWS!! The examining attorney at the trademark office found 157 exhibits showing that the term "Fire Cider" as descriptive or generic. These office actions do not directly affect the fire cider cancellation petition or the litigation but they are very persuasive and will hopefully prove of some value to the judge in the case.
