Petition updateEnd the Whaling Program in Japan: No More Slaughter of WhalesNorway Boosts Whaling Quota

World Animal Rescue

Mar 6, 2018
Whaling has slowly been dying in Norway. For the last couple of years, none of the quotas were met and the number of whaling ships has plummeted. Instead of doing the sensible thing and ending the horrendous practice, the Norwegian government has announced a quota boost in a hail Mary to revive the dying industry.
Under the new quota, there would be a 28% increase, meaning an additional 1,278 whales will be killed. In 2017 there were only 11 whaling ships in the entire country as opposed to the 350 ships in the 1900's. The new quota is a terrible idea, whaling has become an outdated practice. It is time to let it end.
Please sign and share, only with your help can we end whaling permanently. Norway would be a great place to start. Thank You and God Bless.
