May 2018 MSP Rhoda Grant at the First Minister's questions at Holyrood asked the First Minister of Scotland to do something about the vile picture of our sister being restrained and gagged by two of her male colleagues that she worked with in the Scrabster fishery office, Scrabster, Caithness, UK.  This picture went viral around the world.  The picture is not fake and it was not done as a joke.  Our sister did not willingly participate in this cruel act that was carried out to silence her because she spoke out about the racism, misogyny, abuse, bullying and harassment that she witnessed and was subject to in her place of employment.  The First Minister said that she was horrified by the picture and the circumstances that the picture was taken and instructed that an investigation would be carried out and finished by the end of June. 

In her own words, the First Minister said, “Bullying, abuse, sexism, racism have no place in any workplace and let me be very clear today: they will not be tolerated within the Scottish Government or within our agencies."

We are now approaching the end of October 2018.  Still nothing has been done.  DeeAnn has been made to stay off her work and not allowed to return to her job as Senior Fishery Officer in her office.  Her colleagues have been told not to engage with her or participate in social media, meaning don't support her.  Certain members of the senior management team in 2010 began plotting to get rid of DeeAnn because she spoke out.  Foreign women in Marine Scotland Compliance are not allowed to have a voice, they have to remain silent and put up with every piece of abuse that is thrown at them.  We have found out that complaints were put forward many years before DeeAnn even decided to join Marine Scotland Compliance about such behaviours but how could you do something about the issues when those that were in charge were the ringleaders and had each others back to ensure that they were never held accountable. 

To the First Minister and the former First Minister, why did you allow our sister go through all of this when you all knew.  I have seen documents with all of your names where incident after incident has been reported starting with DeeAnn's line manager, enforcement manager, business manager, district manager, area manager, HR, Permanent Secretary - former and current.  It is not time you done something because someday this will happen again to someone else's daughter or sister.

Will you now put a stop to this?  When will you speak to DeeAnn to learn the truth or is it that you do not want to know the truth?  

If anyone reading this finds it upsetting or are disturbed.  We understand because that is exactly how we felt when we learned of everything that was done to our sister.
