A few weeks ago I came out about being sexually abused in my childhood. This abuse was delivered by an immediate family member. Since coming out, my parents have made no effort to support me, but have continued to support my abuser. They have taken my phone, laptop, and car. This is an attempt to isolate me and silence me. When I've shown my mother evidence, she had scoffed at me and closed the page. When asking her if it so easily happened to me, "imagine if it's happened to other people?" she rolled her eyes and walked away in disbelief, muttering under her breath. My father has told my grandparents "There is no...nope...there is no reason to trust her." They are doing everything they can to silence me. I had to take down the first petition, as it got to them, but push me down, and I'm going to get right back up. I urge law enforcement to dig deeper into this, and see that it's just two parents trying to protect their messed up family member. They are disregarding my emotional trauma and making me out to be a liar. I am not a liar. They want to treat me like I am the criminal. I had these horrible things happen to me, they were not my fault. I was only a small girl. I am not the criminal. Your precious family member that you are trying to protect is the criminal. Take my phone, laptop, car, all my money, my clothes. Take everything I have, but you cannot and will not take my voice away. I ask you to sign this petition. I need and deserve justice and if it will not be given to me willingly, I will demand it. Please read this and hear my story. I am tired of being silenced.
