This petition is deeply personal to me, and I believe it will resonate with many residents of Warsaw, IN. Our beloved tree, standing tall and proud in our city for over 250+ years, is under threat. This tree isn't just a plant; it's an icon to our city, and county, that has witnessed countless generations come and go. The plan is to cut this tree, to install a sidewalk. 

The proposed cutting of this monumental tree would not only rob us of a piece of our history but also negatively impact the local ecosystem. Trees play an essential role in combating climate change by absorbing harmful CO2 from the atmosphere. Our iconic tree has been providing this invaluable services for centuries now. It represents continuity, resilience, and nature's incredible power - values we hold dear in Warsaw.
