I want to introduce a bill and implement a school policy to prevent bullying and protect children from teachers who bully. My son is being bullied by one of his 7th grade teachers. I attempted to end this bullying by contacting the teacher, the assistant principal, and principal.  No action was taken. I filed a complaint with Shelby County Schools and finally got someone to hear my complaint. However, the damage has been done to my son. He will have to undergo counseling because an adult teacher abused his power. My son is an aspiring singer and actor. The bullying changed who he is. He has lost his confidence and self-esteem. He is no longer the boy who is always singing and laughing.  He is now the boy who is always worried about what this man will do to him next. He is afraid to go to school. Please support my petition so no other child will have to endure this type of treatment at school.
