Dear All We made the National press today with an article in the Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/jan/11/butterfly-white-letter-hairstreak-elm-trees-disease This is fantastic coverage and will help increase pressure on SCC and Amey to listen to our requests. But we must keep going! Thank you to all of you who have written letters of complaint over the Christmas period and to those who came to stand by the Elm tree and show your support on the 2nd of January. Over 100 people turned out on a wet rainy Saturday morning. See the article in The Star here: http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/protestors-fight-felling-of-extremely-rare-sheffield-elm-tree-1-7653062 The tree consultations ended on the 8th of January and we are now waiting to hear which streets will be referred to the "Independent" Tree Panel (ITP). The Council are still stalling on announcing who exactly is on the Panel and how it will work. We are now only 600 signatures under our target 5000 that will allow us to take our case to Full Council in February. So please share with fellow Sheffield residents, friends and family and continue to boost our numbers. Thank you for your continued support! All the best, Save Nether Edge Trees
