Letter from Laura Tomkinson Senior Case Officer Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) 29.8.17 Where possible the Information Commissioner prefers complaints to be resolved informally and we ask both parties to be open to compromise. With this in mind, I have written to the public authority and ask it to revisit your request. It may wish to reverse or amend its position. If it does, it will contact you again directly about this. In any event, it must provide us with its full and final arguments in support of its position. Once I receive its arguments, I will consider its reply before either contacting you to discuss the matter further or preparing a decision notice. ………………………………………………………………..…………………………. So I have written to RMBC once again today with this request: I think it will help bring a resolution to my request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and minimise any further time needed by everyone concerned if officers at RMBC provide the answer to the following question: Will RMBC Assistant Director, David McWilliams, please explain how he received the original communication about the so-called “independent, expert guidance” that he emailed me about on 15.9.15? This question can be broken down into three parts: a On what date did David receive the information? b Who sent or gave David the information? c In what format did David receive the information? My letter (without contact details) is here: http://real2.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Head-of-Information-Management-Request-30.8.17-No-contact-details.pdf
