Original post (30 June 2017): This is just a small part of an evidence trail from RMBC (Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council) - it can be obtained directly as a pdf from here: http://real2.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Evidenced-dishonesty-involving-RMBC-officers-and-commissioners-Part-1-30.6.17.pdf SUMMARY Evidenced dishonesty involving RMBC officers and commissioners after this Freedom Of Information Request (FOI) was sent to Commissioner Malcolm Newsam on 16.9.15: “As a Freedom of Information (FOI) Request, I am asking for a copy of all communications relating to Voices of Despair, Voices of Hope from 2 December 2014 up to 16 September 2015.” The response (on 23.10.15): 1 failed to disclose the involvement of Jean Imray Interim Deputy Strategic Director of CYPS; 2 contained an email from Ian Thomas to the Commissioners on 5.8.15 with an untruth; 3 omitted part of the same email from Ian Thomas (Strategic Director of CYPS) to the Commissioners; 4 omitted an important email exchange from 14.9.15 (it took until 16.5.16 to get this); 5 failed to disclose the involvement of the DLT (Departmental Leadership Team) in the seeking of “independent expert guidance”. RMBC have refused to disclose further information about this: 6 failed to disclose the involvement of the DLT in the decision to purchase 1500 copies of Voices of Despair Voices of Hope. It took until 19.8.16 for this to be disclosed. A second response (on 7.12.15): 7 contained at least one (now evidenced) lie; 8 failed to disclose that Commissioner Stella Manzie had written part of the response (she may have been dishonest in doing so. An Internal Review of the FOI responses (on 15.1.16): 9 confirmed that Jean Imray had lied. When Jean Imray was asked for further clarity (also on 15.1.16) she emailed Ian Thomas, Linda Harper, Malcolm Newsam and Linton Steele and wrote: 10 “I have no intention of replying to this”.
