Ensure SF public schools follow CDC guidelines for re-opening

Ensure SF public schools follow CDC guidelines for re-opening
The Issue
The San Francisco United School District (SFUSD) is about to sign a MOU with the teacher's union which is inconsistent with CDC guidelines and will be in effect until the end of the next school year. Importantly, it locks the school district into 2-days of school per week until July 2022, regardless of coronavirus prevalence.
The CDC updated its guidelines today for school re-opening. Under the guidelines SF K-12 schools are currently in the orange tier, which means K-12 schools can re-open today in the hybrid model with physical distancing, without need for vaccinations.

We ask the SFUSD to amend the MOU so that it's consistent with CDC guidelines. Let's get our students and educators back to school, safely.
We have just 4 days to convince the school board to act!
