We are very excited to let you know that we are meeting with Rachel Payne MP, Victorian representive of South-Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne, next week. Ms Payne's electorate covers the outer south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and comprises the districts of Berwick, Carrum, Clarinda, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston, Mordialloc, Mulgrave, Narre Warren North, Narre Warren South and Rowville.
We are excited for a number of reasons.
- Ms Payne's electorate covers areas of Melbourne which would be included in the pilots of integrated, accessible services our petition is advocating for.
- Ms Payne has already demonstrated she is a passionate advocate for human rights.
- It would be a powerful pollitcal trio if Ms Rachel Payne, Ms Zoe Daniel and Ms Catherine King collectively supported the outcomes our petition seeks.
We will also bring to Ms Payne's attention the number of motions Stuart Grimley tabled in Victorian Parliament regarding child sexual abuse, which the Victorian Government has yet to action.
