The hearings last week confirmed, like other institutions where historic child sexual abuse occurred, the Victorian Department of Education had a practice of moving known perpertrators of child sexual abuse to other locations.
Whilst this was not surprising, it does intensify feelings of abject betrayal of children in the care of Department of Education schools at the time.

Details of our petition for more accessible and integrated services and supports for Victorian survivors and communities impacted by systemic child sexual abuse, have already been provided to the Board of Inquiry.
That we're calling on the Victorian government to act numerous recommendations of commissions, inquiries and instances in Australia and in the UK, of how increasing the opportunities for disclosure of child sexual abuse (to any health, social, welfare, employment, financial, justice and community service), results in the diagnosis and treatment of complex post traumatic stress disorder (cPTSD), which is needed for healing and recovery.
We're also participating in a Round Table discussion the Board of Inquiry is facilitating on services and supports.

Thank you to all our supporters. We are stronger together.
