Recently the Victorian Government have released their Annual Report 2022 - Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, which includes an acknowledgement to, and confirmation of, the planned apology to victim survivors of child sexual abuse in government institutions.

We welcome this, and look forward to the Victorian government releasing further information regarding their planned engagement of survivors and the community, in the form the apology will take.

Our concerns, and those tabled in Victorian Parliament last year by Stuart Grimley, about the format and content in the Victorian Government's annual reports on their progress in implementation of the Royal Commission recommendations, have not been allayed.

We will update you shortly on the ongoing concerns we have communicated with the Victorian Government.
