REMOVE THE MURAL OF RATKO MLADIĆ IN BELGRADE

REMOVE THE MURAL OF RATKO MLADIĆ IN BELGRADE
Das Problem
In the Serbian capital Belgrade there is a large wall painting of convicted Bosnian Serb wartime commander Ratko Mladic. An international war crimes court sentenced Mladic to life in prison for genocide in the Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica in 1995, when over 8,000 Bosniaks, who were mostly Muslims, were killed by his troops during the war in Bosnia.
Members of nongovernmental organizations joined by citizens attempted to gather on the streets where the mural is located to mark the International Day Against Fascism and Anti-Semitism, but the Serbian police cordoned the area, preventing them from approaching it.
WE DEMAND THE MURAL TO BE PAINTED OVER.
