Important UPDATE:

We are moving forward in our quest for improved multi use trail safety at PSP.

I have been in discussion with Greg Hauck, President of the Friends of PSP.

He supports our goal to improve the safety on multi use trails and has given me the floor to present at the FoPSP board meeting Oct. 20.

This will be a Zoom meeting..

I will post link as soon as I receive it.

The meeting is at 6:45pm.

During the meeting I will give a brief synopsis of our concerns, goals, and ideas. Then open for discussion.

Park management will be present.

Mr. Hauck has also invited me to meet with him after the meeting to discuss how to best involve equestrians groups in volunteering at PSP.

We won’t be able to formalize a partnership at this upcoming meeting. As a first step raising awareness will be an our goal for our meeting on the 20th. Then we will find a way forward to develop the relationship.

Mr. Hauck said joining with equestrians is not very different from the relationships he already has with other groups such as mountain bikers and master naturalists.

He continued to say that coupled with initiatives from the park we should be able to generate some momentum very quickly.

So fellow equestrians, this is a Big Win.

We have been heard, we have been invited to the table. Our boots are in the doorway. Let's Kick that door open and walk right on in and join together to improve the safety of multi-use trails at PSP.

Please plan to attend the meeting and show our commitment to this cause and to show our willingness to join in the volunteer efforts at PSP.

Thank you for your supporting Equestrians for Change.
