Sentence REDUCED but not enough!

In the beginning of this past summer, we received notification that Brian's sentence had been reduced slightly. His new sentence is currently at 112 years to LIFE. We see this as a "step in the right direction" but we still have a long way to go. Unfortunately, I have been told that we have one last appeal left and that is through the Federal Courts and our state appointed attorney has informed me that she does not handle Federal level appeals and that we must request new representation, but unlike prior appeal levels, the Federal Court has complete discretion in whether they are willing to appoint us a new attorney for this final appeal. What that means is, if they decide not to appoint us with a new attorney, we will have to do it ourselves. This is a critical time for us and the clock is ticking! Brian and I appreciate all of your support throughout this struggle and ask to please keep us in your prayers and continue reaching out to friends and family, sharing our story in hopes that someone might be able to help us and bring attention to this flawed justice system and bring loved ones home to their families.
