We are hoping to have Sentai Filmworks announce an English dub for the original anime project, Punch Line, which was first aired back in spring 2015 in Japan.

Sentai Filmworks has licensed its acquisition for the anime. The comedy slice of life series tells the story of young Yuta Iridatsu, who's spirit has somehow been separated from his body. He lives at the Korai House apartment complex with four girls: Mikatan Narugino, Ito Hikiotani, Meika Daihatsu, and Lovera Chichibu. One day, following a busjacking incident, Yuta finds himself ejected from his own body and becoming a spirit. Guided by the cat spirit Chiranosuke, he must learn to master his spirit powers in order to protect his housemates from the various circumstances they find themselves in. However, if he sees a girl's panties twice in a row within a short amount of time, Earth will be destroyed by a meteor.

Yutaka Uemura directed and Kōtarō Uchikoshi, best known for his work on the Ever17 adventure visual novel, was in charge of scripts. Shōta Iwasaki, known for his work on Kill la Kill, worked on the character design. Because Punch Line will include a strong musical connection, famed composer and music producer Tetsuya Komuro provided the score for the series. Animation production is handled by MAPPA, known for their recent work on Rage of Bahamut Genesis and Kids on the Slope.

A video game adaptation developed by 5pb. was released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2016 in Japan, and was released in May 2019 in North America and Europe. A manga, titled Punch Line Max, taking place after the anime series, was published by Kadokawa Corporationin Dengeki G's Comic from September 30, 2015 to December 29, 2016 and compiled in two volumes. It was illustrated by Ginichi, and based on an original idea by Uchikoshi.

Punch Line was scheduled for an April 2015 release and is available through select digital outlets with a home video release to follow.
