The safety and accessibility of senior citizens attending the Mora Senior Center is of utmost importance. More than half of the seniors who visit the center rely on canes or walkers for mobility, and the current parking within the EMS building plan is inadequate to meet their needs. Insufficient parking close to the center forces seniors to traverse longer distances, posing risks to their safety and well-being.

Additionally, the center plays a crucial role in supporting homebound individuals through meal delivery services. However, accessing the rear of the center, where meal preparations and loadings occur, is currently unavailable in the current plan, making it challenging for staff to efficiently provide this vital service.

We propose actionable solutions to address these concerns:
1. Establish additional parking spaces closer to the center specifically reserved for seniors and individuals with mobility challenges. (35 parking spaces minimum needed)
2. Develop a designated access route to the rear of the center to facilitate safe and efficient movement of meal deliveries.

Meeting these needs will not only ensure the safety and independence of seniors attending the center but also enhance the operations of essential services for homebound individuals in our community.
