We had a positive bipartisan intervention yesterday from former Conservative Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, who is working with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan towards the goal of this petition. He ventured that any necessary regulatory tweaks could be made quickly by central government to allow ULEZ scrappage vehicles to go to Ukraine; and that they should go. He explained in much greater detail than is normally encountered, why these vehicles are so important to Ukraine. In fact they are so important that it's not just 4x4s but vans, minibuses, and some cars that would be of great value. He also suggests that potentially the Ministry of Defence could offer logistical support to transport these vehicles out to Ukraine. I will continue to update.
