Reclaim Oct 10th for Victims of Psychiatrists (VOP)
- Grieve those who have been killed by psychiatrists
- Demand the #Right2Refuse psychiatrists' products, procedures & their bloody beds!
We need an abolition of forced psychiatry, a repeal of legislated forced psychiatry and an apology for it ever having occurred. Victims of psychiatrists have been supported by the UN CRPD committee, who urged Australia once more to comply with the obligations of the CRPD and abolish forced psychiatry. VOP also sent our report to the CRPD.
It is not true that the Federal Government doesn't also have responsibility to abolish unlawful State/ Territory legislation. The Federal Government can look to prosecuting State/ Territories that do not comply with CRPD, through anti-torture legislation, anti-exploitation legislation, anti-slavery legislation. We're going to specifically ask for Federal prosecution, via the Code of Responsible Research. Forced psychiatry regularly flouts 8.2 & 8.3 of this code.
Remember at this protest, we respect that Parliamentary Security has to enforce their rules, and we're happy to go along with their needs. Victims of Psychiatrists & allies in Australia, simply need to show that they exist, and they DEMAND the #Right2Refuse psychiatrists products, procedures & their bloody beds!
