This isn’t defeat. Not even close.

The Grand Jury report came out. And now we know how badly Catholic diocese throughout Pennsylvania have behaved, and we know they are the biggest opponents to this reforming the statutes of limitations that will protect children.

The bill to reform statutes of limitations on child sex abuse reform didn’t pass in the 2018 session, but 2019 starts soon. This time we have the Grand Jury report. Every new scandal is revealing how common child sexual abuse is. Most of them showing how common institutional cover ups are; and how eager powerful adults are to sacrifice children’s futures to protect their own reputations.
