The proposed Michigan State Bill SB419 would prohibit rescues from picking up stray dogs off the streets unless they had a contract with the municipal shelter or animal control in the City where the stray dogs are located. If this SB419 passes, our organization, Detroit Pit Crew, would be prevented from rescuing 400-500 stray dogs annually from the streets of Detroit.

It is highly unlikely that the City of Detroit would be willing to contract with us so therefore the strays we are helping would be left out to die. Please sign this petition to stop Bill SB419. They are many animals whose lives would be lost out on the streets of Detroit if this SB419 passes.
