This from the White House Council on Environmental Quality: “On March 22, 2022, we convened a Nation-to-Nation consultation between our agencies and departments and leaders and representatives from the Tribes of the Columbia River Basin. We heard clearly the request for accountability for actions by the U.S. Government that have caused harm to the ecology of the river, its tributaries, and importantly, its first residents.”

NOW IS THE TIME for us to let them know how important breaching the four Lower Snake River dams are to us! Please send a message to salmon@ceq.eop.gov and demand that these dams be breached now to begin recovery of the way of life for indigenous peoples, salmon, and Southern Resident Orcas.
